At Harbor Financial Group, we believe in a well defined process to create an accurate investment plan that is adaptable over time. Our process compiles your information so we may analyze and make customized recommendations over a variety of market cycles. Our team approach and investment planning process provide the discipline necessary to create a risk managed investment portfolio to best serve our client's interests.

1) First consultation: We meet to discuss whether Harbor Financial Group and our process would be a match for your particular needs. We also discuss whether the prospective client is a good fit for our firm. Mutual fit is central to a successful relationship between the client and the advisor.

2) Discovery: At Harbor Financial Group we have a process to identify your priorities and tolerance for risk. Along with your financial statement, we will conduct a personalized interview. We focus on having candid discussions so that we may fully understand your complete financial situation.

3) Planning and Analyzing: We help clients articulate the things which are important. From this point we review where you are today and where you would like to be in the future. We use the Envision planning software to help quantify your portfolio's risks and help determine if you are on track to reach your goals.

4) Implementation: We meet to share the results of your personal investment plan. We build the investment strategy around the client and make recommendations to help improve the probability of achieving your goals. Your Financial Strategy Action Plan creates clarity by tracking the services used in the past, current area of focus and serves as the centerpiece for all future meetings. The plan outlines specific implementation strategies and monitors their completion over time, enabling you to take a carefully considered and disciplined approach. The FSAP focuses on retirement, investment strategy, education funding and estate planning.

5) Monitor and Serve: Once your investment plan is in place we review after the first three months to discuss any questions you may have. Successful investment plans require regular reviews in person and on the phone to assess the progress towards achieving your long term goals. You can expect monthly statements, performance updates, comprehensive annual review meetings, account rebalancing and, as necessary, minor plan adjustments. You will also receive newsletters, educational information and invitations to select client events.
